You went so fast I almost missed you !! Lucky we have a few more days left of this month. Its been a very cold one here in Sydney, Australia. We have had school holidays here ( 2 weeks) and we took our son to the snowy mountains. He saw snow for the first time and loved going down the hill on a toboggan with my husband, making snowmen, snow angels and throwing snow at Mum and Dad. We took our campervan !!! but we survived ! Heater on all day and it was do able.
I have been busy sewing as well. I had to finish some mini quilts and send them overseas. I also finished two queen sized quilts, one king single and a special Heather Ross throw ( for me). A lady who bought blankets of me before asked me last year if I could make her memory blankets for her two sons who celebrate their birthdays this month. I had never done this before but they worked out fine. Its surprising how many pieces of clothing you need because the workable fabrics are so small. The lady was very happy and was all teary, so I think I did an ok job.
I am just short of finishing a throw which i made with charms I gathered by joining Ms Midge her Heather Bailey Charm along.
If you go to Ms Midge her blog you can see what others have done with all the charms they have collected as well. It really shows you what you can do with charms, we all have done different designs!
In a few weeks we are heading to Europe, family visits, exploring and making new friends and I might be able to catch up with two people I have “met” thru Instagram ! How much fun will that be! I am hoping to catch up with Linda in Holland and maybe Susi in Munich.
Lots of sewing to do before I leave, an other mini quilt to finish for the Heather Ross mini quilt swap and I need to make one for the Lori Holt mini quilt swap. I also need to take them with me on my travels and post them to my secret partners from Overseas as I can’t send them off to early! They might get some souvenirs from places I have been.
Until next time,
do what you want to do.
